A year ago a friend of mine suggested I see Dr. David Pawsat because they believed he could make my health better. So I began the journey of monthly visits to see him. I think he was overwhelmed with my story at first as I proceeded to unfold all the aspects of my ill-health. I had experienced two brain tumor surgeries in 1986 and again in 1994. That left me deaf in one ear and with a terrible balance problem. In addition I developed fibromyalgia, migraines, a blood clotting factor, and thyroid disease at the same time. Due to my imbalance and pain, I rode an electric scooter to continue working as a professor. But with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia pain escalating, my doctors urged me to stop working and go on disability. Reluctantly, I did so. About that time, I also went through menopause, shifting my focus from pain to hot flashes.

Dr. Pawsat designed a plan for me. Slowly I began to notice I needed less pain medicine. I could tolerate longer days without retreating to nap. Even though I was avid about swimming three times a week, in the past I experienced some days where it was all I could do to get to the pool, and collapsed after exercising. But after a few months I felt better, and my stamina for exercise increased. Six months after I started with Dr. Pawsat I began working with a trainer to strengthen muscles. I also worked with physical therapists to improve my balance. While I had ups and downs throughout the months, what I feared the most was having a setback and returning to how disabled I had been.

Dr. Pawsat reassured me time and again that this is a journey, and while there may be an occasional slide backwards, my body would rebound and return to progressing forward. And he was right! Moreover, his caring staff facilitated my progress as well. Michelle, the Medical Assistant, followed my plan checking with me weekly on how I was feeling. Josi, a nutrition counselor, created custom vitamins for me that aided in my taking less pills each day and was more cost effective for me. I have learned a great deal scientifically about my health from talks with Dr. Pawsat. He has an amazing gift for analyzing and evaluating current research, then delivering it in a manner that everyone can understand. He actually listens to my concerns, and then provides feedback addressing those concerns and questions.

Finally, my husband, family, and close friends noticed that I have made huge gains toward good health. This confirmed my perception too that the path Dr. Pawsat created for me, made possible this transformation. I would encourage anyone who is struggling with their health, to visit Dr. Pawsat as it may be the turning point in their life too.
